Hotel putting the American to jail suffered rightly
Do you remember the story as one tourist in Thailand wrote a harsh review of a hotel Sea View Koh Chang in Thailand and the hotel made this tourist put to jail? Well, now, there is the development of that story: TripAdvisor has made a one-of-a-kind label together with a severe rating drop to this hotel’s page on its website. The label says that this hotel has put an American guest to jail for a too harsh review.
This label is now a warning to everyone desiring to visit this hotel for staying, as it obviously does not accept critics and does not play by the rules. We all hope this will make no one stay in this super unfriendly hotel that behaves like a swine because tourists don’t like some of their utilities.
Whilst the picture of Sea View Koh Chang on the advert page looks simply paradise-like, Wesley Barnes, the tourist, did not enjoy all of that. He was about to drink own spirit on the hotel’s territory yet the administration put on him a 15-dollar corkage fee, which eventually led to the clash between the freedom of word in the West and the impossibility of this, xenomorphic views of locals, and outdated views that suppress businesses on the East.
The entire tourist community hopes this hotel, even after changing its name and re-registering in TripAdvisor, will also keep its label on its page – as a reminder to all unfriendly places of the world that they can be punished, too. Every traveler has the inalienable right to speak and share with other travelers. Full stop.
